Effective October 22, 2026
Compass is a privately self-hosted personal training planner and dashboard. This policy explains its use of personal information and the Google Calendar connection.
Google Calendar access and use
After authorization, Compass reads event information from the selected Google calendar within bounded date windows around the active training block and any explicitly selected upcoming blocks. A one-day timezone margin can include adjacent dates. These reads support scheduling context for the active block and synchronization of Compass-owned workout events.
Compass creates and updates only Compass-owned workout events. Changes to the date or start time of privately tagged workouts in the active block can update the local training plan. Publication of upcoming blocks is forward-only; Calendar changes are not imported into those future plans. Compass never changes or deletes unrelated calendar events.
Local storage and access
Compass stores Google authorization credentials, minimal calendar context, and reconciliation state in its private local storage. This supports the authorized connection and keeps workout events and the training plan in sync. Google credentials are not provided to MCP clients or AI assistants.
Authorized private Compass clients and AI assistants can read minimal calendar context through a separately authorized existing personal-context connection. Information supplied to a selected assistant provider is processed under that provider's settings and policies.
Limits on data use
Compass does not sell personal information or use it for advertising. Compass does not offer a model-training feature.
Compass's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access and removing data
You can revoke Compass's access through your Google Account's third-party connections. Revocation stops new access to Google data; it does not automatically delete information already stored locally or in private backups.
Removing retained local data or private backups requires action by the Compass operator. For removal or other privacy requests, contact the owner through your existing private contact channel.
